Prayers are offered for the deceased at the mosque, after which attendees go to the cemetery. We bury the deceased within 24 hours.

A Funeral According to Muslim Traditions

In Islam, the deceased should be buried as quickly as possible and preferably within 36 hours, so you should contact us as soon as possible. Cremation is not permitted in the religion; therefore, the deceased is always interred. Traditionally, the deceased should be buried directly in the ground, but in Sweden a simple coffin must be used. Before the burial, {organizationName} can arrange for the body to be washed according to the ritual washing (ghusl) and then shrouded in cotton cloth (kafan).
